This collection is of our initial days in the remote village of Simikot and of the six days circuit that brought us to a one thousand year old monastery, interesting geology exposed by the Dojam R. and the many photographic opportunities along the way.

These images were captured on a small, but mighty, compact Sony α6000 APS-C mirrorless camera, with a stock 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. They are derived from some 1300 images: many are sets for the making of composites (i.e.: panoramas and focus stacking) and sets of repeats because I'm shooting hand-held. Loaded up is a small manageable count - a far cry from what I had to review. So come in, seat yourself in front of a big bright monitor, press play (▶), and meditate upon the beads in my 'rosery'.
